Pre-Novices (Postulants)
The joy of the Lord is our strength. – Nehemiah 8:10
The Pre-Novitiate stage (Postulancy) is a time of deeper discernment and formation for those preparing to enter religious life. During this period, candidates continue to grow in their relationship with God while gradually embracing the rhythm of community life, prayer, and service.
It is a formative journey of learning, reflection, and spiritual growth, helping each postulant to strengthen her vocation and readiness for the next stage of formation within the congregation.
Novices
Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. – 1 Samuel 3:9
The Novitiate is a special time of spiritual formation and discernment, during which novice sisters deepen their relationship with God and embrace the charism and mission of the Missionary Sisters of the Divine Image.
Through prayer, study, community life, and service, they continue to grow in their vocation as they prepare to make their first profession of vows.
First Profession
Here I am, Lord. Send me! – Isaiah 6:8
First Profession is a joyful milestone in the journey of religious life. Sisters commit themselves to God and the mission of the congregation.
Through these first vows, they continuesto grow in faith, service, and community life and prepare for their lifelong commitment through Final Profession.
Final Vows
It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. – Galatians 2:20
The profession of Final Vows is a sacred and joyful commitment in which a sister fully consecrates her life to God. It marks a lifelong dedication to prayer, community life, and missionary service within the Missionary Sisters of the Divine Image.
Through this solemn profession, each sister embraces her calling, committing herself completely to God and to the mission of proclaiming His Divine Image in the world.
Renewal of Vows
In the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Divine Image across nations and continents, the renewal of vows is a sacred moment of recommitment to God and to our shared mission. It is a time of grace in which each sister reaffirms her dedication to live out the evangelical counsels in love and joyful service.
