The Heart of Our Calling

Our Mission

The Mission of the MSDI, is to proclaim God´s Image in the human person through the cultivation of deep respect, love and care for every human being, irrespective of the person's faith, origin, race, health situation and class in the society. We are Missionaries of the “Divine Image” in each human person from conception till death. (Foundress, 2016)

Charism

God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness." – Genesis 1:26
The “Image of God in every person” is the guiding force behind the MSDI charism. We proclaim the Good News of God’s Image in the human person through cultivation of deep respect, love, and care for every human person, irrespective of the person's faith, origin, race, health situation, and class in the society.

These principles guide and shape our mission wherever we are called to serve. The MSDI Charism is centered on preserving the image of God in every human person, grounded in the belief that all people are created in God’s image.

Spirituality

It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. – Galatians 2:20
The spirituality of the MSDI is rooted in seeking conformity with Christ in the lives of its members, which is also at the heart of the congregation’s missionary identity. Grounded in an awareness of God’s presence and His Divine Image, members strive to recognize God in their own lives and in the lives of their neighbors at all times.

The Divine Image fosters and continually renews fraternal communion within the community and strengthens the missionary commitment of the members to proclaim the Image of Christ for the transformation of the world.

Daily meditation, liturgy of hours, an hour of adoration every Sunday, daily masses, monthly recollection, and confession constitute the bedrock of their spirituality.

Aposolate

Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. – Matthew 25:40
The apostolate of the MSDI is the vehicle through which the Charism of the Association is concretized, and this is encapsulated into an Intergenerational-Ministry:

  • We identify, nurture, and preserve the Image of God in the human person we encounter with special interest on the youth and elderly. We approach each person with deep respect, love and care.

  • We empower the youth through professional training focused on Geriatric-Nursing, Schools, Catechism, and Social Teachings of the Church.

  • We support respectful solidarity between younger and older generations, we train and empower the youth to take care of the elderly and persons needing assistance.

Youth Empowerment Program

Members are professionally trained in Germany as certified nurses and currently serve in hospitals, nursing homes, and private care settings. We humbly ask for your prayers, encouragement, and support for our missionary work.

Divine Image Nursery, Primary and Secondary School

MSDI provides a nurturing, faith-based learning environment where children and young people are formed academically and spiritually. Through quality education and character formation, we empower the next generation to live with purpose, compassion, and integrity. Support our missionary work through your prayers and encouragement.
